Fall Arrest safety harness range
| Fall arrest, safety harness and lanyards. Whenever work is being done at heights where there is a risk of falling the worker must be protected by a fall arrest system and an appropriate rescue plan in order to retrieve a worker in the event of a fall. Fall arrest systems are required when there is a risk of a falling from an elevated position above regulation height (2 metres at time of this entry) at which fall protection is required. A personal fall arrest system is a passive system that comes into use only when a fall occurs. A fall arrest system includes a minimum of 3 components, which are a fall arrester, harness and anchorage connector. A fall arrest system is designed to limit the maximum forces to less than 6kN in order to minimise the risk of serious injuries as a result of falling.
